8x6, oil. This is the view out of our 3rd floor skylight of the full moon over the lake tonight. It was a real fun one to paint but challenging as I was constantly turning the light on and off while I paint. ON while I mixed paint and OFF when I needed to view the scene without glare.
Here's a larger painting that gave me fits. I haven't worked large for awhile and it was difficult to stay loose. I went with a Zorn Palette of titanium white, yellow ochre, cadmium red, and ivory black.
Here are a few quick sketches from tonight's figure drawing. We have her booked for a long pose session in a couple weeks. It will be quite interesting painting all that hair!
